E aqui, la pagina nuestra de el Sir Nube Negra.  Donde pondremos por escrito preguntas y respuestas de como hablar tipico Dominicano.  Tambien, hablaremos de nuestra cultura, no tanto farandulera pero historica para educar a los Dominicanos nacidos en el extrangero. O, tan solo a los que nostalgicamente hechan de menos a nuestro pais tan lleno de historia.

  Here, our Sir Nube Negra page.  Where we will write down our questions and answers of how to speak in Dominican folk.  We will also learn about our culture, not only of its artist nor its celebrities, rather its history.  This way we could be educated as Dominicans born abroad.  Or simply, as Dominicans who in nostalgia miss their native land.

This segment was created as  a comedic way of teaching Dominican "SLANG".  The Dominican Republic spoken language is Castilian Spanish.  Though, the integration of Africans amplified the richness of the native Hatian (indigenous, prehispanics not Afrikans) with Spanish.  Like all the island of the Caribian, we adapted words from different tribes, be it from the natives, traders or slaves.  Some, have argued, for the sake of degrading, Dominicans are under educated for the way we speak.  To each its own.  "Properly speaking" is often a misconception.  Even in different households of the same city, we have a distinctive way of communicating.  A familiar way in which only the ones in that circle would understand.


This is why even the most educated Dominicans opt to speak with his people i a manner they will understand each other.  I hope you enjoy the show.  You will understand we are not so different at all.
